Virtual idol - 2021 HKDI Final Year Project
The virtual idol is my final year project in HKDI. This is a group project, with six students as a group to create an idol together. From characterization to visualization, it has taken a year for our team to develop the project. Integrated the latest media technology and design elements to create immersive entertainment content which is a global trend in creative industries.
The Background of Virtual Idol - Yedda
Yedda is a tertiary student studying music and a core member of the dance society. She wants to improve through her song, which is her final year project, the bonding among dance society members during the time of the pandemic outbreak.
My part in the project
I designed and created the hair of the idol and the motion/pose for the posters. I was also a director responsible for music video production.
Behind the scenes
Through the project, we display our knowledge and skills in art and technology integration which combines real-time technology in camera tracking, performance motion capture, animation, and dynamic simulation into live performance art.
